Organizational structure

Our organizational structure is closely tied to our project guidelines. It follows the following principles:

  • Global – we have volunteers working on GMin from all around the world. This means all communication is happening through online tools (this coincidentally means we have no expenses to office space, etc.).
  • Effort – the people who put in the biggest effort has the biggest say in the direction the organization and its projects move. Anyone willing to contribute and pick the ball up and run with it can join, however, initiative is required from the volunteer herself.
  • Team-based – each project has its own dedicated team and leader who is spearheading that project. This ensures a very focused effort. A “GMin” team is working on the organization itself, an “Eradicate Malaria” team is working on our malaria project, and so on.

Check out our eradicate malaria for the results and progress of one of those team-based efforts.
